The Kansas City Friends of Jung Board of Directors:
Ken Buch, PhD: President
Ken Buch, a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, is an avid student of the works of C.G. Jung. Raised as a Christian fundamentalist who “left the flock” in high school, he stumbled upon Jung decades later — at mid-life — as he began re-evaluating his childhood experiences and struggled to define himself outside his career. He is president of KC Friends of Jung as well as its webmaster, and he teaches introductory classes on Jung's psychology and process of individuation.
Lois Wilkins, PhD ARNP: Vice-President
Lois E. Wilkins, PhD ARNP, lives in DeSoto, Kansas. She is a Theorist, Depth Psychotherapist, Researcher and Consultant; Owner of the Eagle's Nest Holistic Mental Health Practice, Inc. with offices in Lawrence and DeSoto, Kansas; Adjunct Professor, Wichita State University; and has published numerous articles and poetry.
Claudia Odgers: Secretary
Claudia came across Jungian psychology some decades ago in college by enrolling in a psychology of religion course. Over the years, she has continued the study of Jungian psychology which continues to enrich her life personally and spiritually. Claudia's interests are spirituality, dreams, and the metaphysical. Claudia has a degree in nursing and a graduate degree in public administration.
Twila Jukes: Treasurer
Twila has been studying the esoteric arts for over twenty years and is a certified practitioner of Reiki and Actualism. Additionally she has studied Qi Gong and Tai Chi and has a formal degree in Anthropology from the University of Kansas. After five years of study, Twila received her certification through the Shamanic Astrology Mystery School in 2008 and is now a practicing Shamanic Astrologer. She also facilitates Shamanic Astrology workshops in the Kansas City area.
Diana Midyett
Diana was exposed to Jungian Psychology as an analysand of a local Jungian analyst. She credits this experience for introducing her to Jungian therapy's benefits and the Friends of Jung. Blessed with a belief in the mystical and the divine, Diana finds FOJ ideal for her continuing journey as a self proclaimed student of the mystery. On a practical level, she brings her expertise as Meeting Planner and Conventions Coordinator to FOJ, helping to provide quality programs for which the organization is known.
Paul Whittemore
Paul Whittemore, a member of the Board of the Kansas City Friends of Jung, has studied alternative spiritual traditions and the ancient sources of wisdom for over forty years. These interests have included alchemy, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Vedanta, theosophy, Jung and Buddhism, among others.
Donna Ziegenhorn
Donna Woodard Ziegenhorn met the Friends of Jung when she was invited to convene a writing group following an FOJ sponsored lecture by Thomas Moore who encouraged individuals to explore the riches of their own lives. Donna is a playwright. She bases her work on bringing the lived experience to dramatic form. Her work includes "The Hindu and the Cowboy," a play based on interviews with individuals of numerous cultural and faith traditions from across metropolitan Kansas City. Her career began in marketing and public relations with Missouri Repertory Theatre and included a several year stint with Home Box Office where she was regional vice-president.
